Our Vision…
is to provide comfort for parents with the knowledge that their child will be cared and nurtured for in an inclusive setting where individualities and diversities will be acknowledged, appreciated and embraced. We encourage developmentally appropriate play that is both child-centered and driven by the child's interests with as much exposure to real life learning as possible.
Our Philosophy…
is to build a healthy state of “self” that will meet the needs of our families and the community while providing high quality care that will promote and foster emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- We believe that children learn best when they are respected and treated as individuals with specific interests and needs.
- We believe well-defined rules and limitations must be introduced and enforced in order to educate children to respect themselves, others around them, and the surroundings.
- We believe the purpose of Early Childhood Education is to create open minded individuals who will be life-long learners.
- We recognize that children are best understood in the context of family, culture and society, respecting the dignity, worth and uniqueness of each family member.
- All children need love, attention, support and structure if they are to grow and learn their best.
Our Goal…
is to develop the social, physical, emotional, cognitive/intellectual and creativity of a child in a safe and nurturing environment. The staff model “Developmentally Appropriate Practices” throughout the day when interacting with one another, volunteers, students and parents, as many children learn through the process of modeling.
- We strive to build strong children, strong families and strong communities by promoting the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- We teach children how to study, play, and work in a respectful way while seeing the world as a place with wondrous possibilities.
- We encourage children to open their hearts and minds to others who might look different and to share their own ideas but be respectful of differing viewpoints.
